This week, Congresswoman Monica De La Cruz, who represents Texas’ 15th district in the U.S. Congress, held a roundtable discussion with the board members of the South Texas Builders Alliance. The focus of the meeting was on immigration and housing policy priorities.
“My top priority is to hear from South Texans and deliver solutions to ensure our communities remain prosperous. I will continue to focus on what matters: delivering common-sense policy solutions for the hard-working immigrants who strengthen our communities and making homeownership affordable for all Americans,” said Congresswoman Monica De La Cruz.
De La Cruz began serving in Congress in 2023 after replacing Vicente Gonzalez. She has secured her seat by defeating Michelle Vallejo in both the 2022 and 2024 general elections, receiving 53.3% of the vote in 2022 and increasing her margin to 57.1% in 2024.
The meeting reflects De La Cruz’s stated commitment to addressing issues that affect local residents, particularly those related to immigration and access to affordable housing.
