Progreso Independent School District enrolled 1,339 students in the 2024-25 school year, a 4.7% decrease from 1,405 the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Among the student body, 50.6% were boys and 49.4% were girls.

Data also showed that most of the students were Hispanic (1,326), representing 99% of the district’s total enrollment. White students were the second-largest group, totaling 12 students (0.9%).

The grade level with the highest enrollment was tenth grade, with 121 students enrolled that year, accounting for 9% of the total student body.
