Later the same day, De La Cruz focused on economic development within her district, attending a significant event in McAllen, Texas. She reported, “My TX-15 team was proud to join city officials in @CityofMcAllen for the groundbreaking of the new CAP Retail Development…” noting the growth in sales tax revenue and the positive economic momentum in the region.
On April 2, 2025, De La Cruz participated in the unveiling of a new statue at Texas A&M-Kingsville, a tribute reflecting the region’s commitment to higher education.
