Rep. Monica De La Cruz, who represents Texas’s 15th district in the U.S. Congress, addressed legislative priorities and ongoing political disputes in a series of posts on her social media account on March 26 and 27, 2026.

On March 26, De La Cruz highlighted bipartisan efforts to address immigration reform, writing, “We have a secure border and a unique opportunity to deliver real, common-sense solutions. The Dignity Act is a bipartisan effort to fix our laws, strengthen our workforce, and restore the American Dream with dignity. This is our moment to come together and finally get it done.”

Later that day, she commented on the ongoing government shutdown and its impact on national security operations. De La Cruz stated, “This marks the 2nd longest shutdown in U.S. history. Despite mounting pressures at airports across the nation, Democrats have voted 7 times against funding DHS. National security isn’t a bargaining chip, and our frontline defenders shouldn’t pay the price for these political”.

On March 27, she addressed tax policy reforms aimed at streamlining processes for American taxpayers: “Tax season can be complicated enough. The Strengthen Taxpayer Rights Act gives American taxpayers the certainty that their IRS appeals process will be fair and independent. Americans need less, not more, bureaucracy when appealing an IRS decision.”
