Rep. Monica De La Cruz, a U.S. Congress member representing Texas’ 15th district since 2023, has been active in her role as demonstrated by recent tweets highlighting various events and initiatives in her constituency.

On May 5, 2025, De La Cruz shared that “My district staff attended the grand opening of the new Hidalgo County Courthouse in @cityofedinburg.” She noted that this state-of-the-art facility is a significant advancement for the region’s justice system with modern features designed to better serve the community.

De La Cruz was born in Brownsville, Texas in 1974 and currently resides in McAllen. She graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio with a BBS degree.
