In her first post at 14:00 UTC, De La Cruz highlighted the opening of a new business in Edinburg: “Classic Barberia held a ribbon cutting ceremony in downtown @cityofedinburg, and I’m proud to see local entrepreneurs investing in our communities and helping neighborhoods and businesses thrive.”
Later that day at 17:00 UTC, she addressed immigration reform efforts focused on agriculture: “Support for Bracero Program 2.0 is growing! Proud to lead this effort to improve the H-2A visa process for farmers and ag workers.”
At 18:45 UTC, De La Cruz discussed her visit with Rep. De La Cruz has represented Texas’s 15th congressional district since replacing Vicente Gonzalez in 2023. She was born in Brownsville, Texas in 1974 and currently resides in McAllen. De La Cruz holds a Bachelor of Business Studies from the University of Texas at San Antonio.
