U.S. Representative Monica De La Cruz, who represents Texas’s 15th district in Congress, recently highlighted a series of meetings and visits through her official Twitter account, focusing on agricultural leadership, local governance, and cultural engagement.
On July 25, De La Cruz posted about her interaction with young leaders in agriculture: “I had a great conversation with @NationalFFA members Ciara Hays and Carlos Guerra. As a proud member of the Congressional FFA Caucus, I’m committed to supporting the next generation of leaders in agriculture and rural communities.” The National FFA Organization is known for its focus on youth development within the agricultural sector.
Later that same day, De La Cruz shared details of another meeting: “I recently met with Maverick County Judge @RamseyCJudge and Ruben Garibay. We had a productive conversation about issues important to Texas.”

De La Cruz has served as the U.S. Representative for Texas’s 15th district since 2023 after succeeding Vicente Gonzalez. She was born in Brownsville, Texas in 1974 and currently resides in McAllen. She holds a Bachelor of Business Studies from the University of Texas at San Antonio.
