U.S. Representative Monica De La Cruz, who serves Texas’ 15th district, recently posted a series of messages on her official social media account addressing national and international developments, as well as personal tributes.

On October 13, 2025, De La Cruz expressed gratitude following the reported return of hostages, attributing the outcome to former President Trump. She wrote, “Our prayers for peace have been answered! Thank you President Trump for bringing all remaining hostages home and for your unwavering commitment to restoring peace. “

The following day, October 14, De La Cruz marked the birthday of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, stating, “Today is Charlie Kirk’s 32nd birthday and we remember his incredible life and commit to carry his legacy forward. Please join me in praying for Charlie and his family today.”

On October 15, De La Cruz addressed the ongoing government shutdown, highlighting its impact on American workers: “Day 15. Every day the shutdown drags on, more hard-working Americans suffer.”

De La Cruz, who replaced Vicente Gonzalez in Congress in 2023, has held her seat since winning the 2022 and 2024 general elections against Michelle Vallejo. In 2024, she secured 57.1% of the vote, and in 2022, she received 53.3%.
