Monica De La Cruz, a U.S. Congresswoman representing Texas’ 15th district since 2023, has been vocal on social media regarding her political stance and support for former President Donald Trump. Born in Brownsville, Texas, and currently residing in McAllen, De La Cruz graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio with a BBS.

On March 5, 2025, Rep. Monica De La Cruz tweeted about border security under the Trump administration: “Promises made. Promises kept. A secure border is our reality under President Trump.”

In another tweet posted on the same day, she addressed her views on girls’ sports: “Let me be clear: Girls’ sports are for girls. As a mom, I will continue to fight to ensure that little girls in Texas can achieve their dreams!”

De La Cruz also expressed her opinion on energy policies and criticized the previous administration’s approach: “President Trump is undoing Biden’s war on American energy and unlocking our full energy potential. The National Energy Emergency is underway, and we are rescinding Biden’s job-killing, anti-American energy regulations!”
