Later that day, she announced her role as an original co-sponsor of the Main Street Tax Certainty Act. In her tweet, she emphasized its significance: “I am proud to be an original co-sponsor of the Main Street Tax Certainty Act, which will solidify the 20% tax deduction for qualified business income and promote equity in America’s tax code between small businesses on Main Street and larger corporations.”

In another tweet posted on January 25, Rep. De La Cruz congratulated Secretary Kristi Noem on her leadership at DHS. She remarked: “Congratulations, Sec. @KristiNoem! Under her leadership at DHS, we will secure the border, ensure border patrol agents have the resources they need, and prioritize safety for South Texas communities.”
