Rep. Monica De La Cruz, who represents Texas’ 15th district in the U.S. Congress, highlighted local community initiatives and infrastructure developments in a series of posts on August 8, 2025.
In one post, De La Cruz shared her support for small businesses, stating on August 8, 2025: “We’re proud to support the growth of local businesses in our communities! Recently, my team recognized Tasty Bites, a locally owned and operated restaurant in Peñitas, during their ribbon cutting event. Congratulations!”
Addressing educational needs in South Texas, she posted later that day: “No student should feel unprepared entering the school year. The @foodbankrgv is hosting a Back to School Supply Drive so every South Texas student has the opportunity to succeed!” This message underscores ongoing efforts by local organizations to provide essential resources for students.
De La Cruz also emphasized investments in public infrastructure with another post on August 8: “Water infrastructure is vital to our growing communities. My team joined the @edinburgedc and the @cityofedinburg for the ribbon cutting of the new water tower in North Edinburg. It’s exciting to see continued investment in the region’s future.
