On June 19, Rep. De La Cruz expressed pride in representing her community by bringing $280 million in economic relief along with a new national screwworld facility to South Texas. She extended gratitude towards Secretary Rollins, stating “Thank you @SecRollins!! South Texas loves you!”

The following day, June 20, she highlighted a meeting between her team and the International Fresh Produce Association (IntFreshProduce) regarding priorities for the upcoming Farm Bill and the significance of the H-2A program for the region’s agriculture industry. In her words: “The @IntFreshProduce met with my team to discuss priorities for the upcoming Farm Bill and the importance of the H-2A program to our region’s agriculture industry.”

Later that day, she announced an upcoming telephone town hall event scheduled for Tuesday, June 24th at 6:30 p.m. CT. The event aims to update constituents on her work and address their questions on pertinent issues. As per her announcement: “I’m hosting a telephone town hall event…to provide an update on my work for Texans and to answer questions on the issues that matter to you and your neighbors.”

Monica De La Cruz was born in Brownsville, Texas in 1974 and resides in McAllen. She graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio with a Bachelor of Business Studies (BBS).
