Rep. Monica De La Cruz, who represents Texas’ 15th district in the U.S. Congress, recently highlighted her staff’s engagement with local organizations and businesses through a series of posts on her official social media account.
On September 12, 2025, De La Cruz shared that “My staff joined Floresville Police Chief Anthony Flores for a tour of their new station, which is set to open soon, and discussed opportunities for the police department to access federal resources to support public safety efforts in the community!”
In another post dated September 13, 2025, she emphasized the importance of small businesses: “Our local businesses are the backbone of a strong, resilient community. The team at Matt’s Building Materials provides essentials to our community, supporting rebuilding efforts with unwavering faith, family, and service.”
Later that day, De La Cruz recognized healthcare services in Guadalupe County: “For over 50 years, @GRMCHospital has provided Guadalupe County and the surround communities with exceptional care. My team visited their facility to meet with their staff and hear more about their work to expand access to quality care for families in the region.”
De La Cruz began serving as representative for Texas’ 15th district after defeating Michelle Vallejo in both the 2022 and 2024 general elections. In 2024 she secured victory with approximately 57% of the vote; two years earlier she won by a smaller margin with just over half of all votes cast. She succeeded Vicente Gonzalez as representative beginning in 2023.
