Rep. Monica De La Cruz, representing Texas’ 15th District, recently shared insights on various topics through her Twitter platform. With posts dating from April 5 through April 6, 2025, she highlighted her continued engagement with industry leaders, educational institutes, and local businesses within her jurisdiction, particularly in the Rio Grande Valley area.

On April 5, 2025, De La Cruz wrote about her staff’s meeting with the Texas Restaurant Association to consider legislative priorities that could bolster the restaurant industry in the region: “My DC staff recently met with @TXRestaurants to discuss legislative priorities to strengthen the restaurant industry, which plays a significant role in the growth of the valley.”

Later the same day, De La Cruz mentioned an educational collaboration involving her DC team and Dr. Ryan Oelkers together with students from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV): “My DC team met with Dr. Ryan Oelkers and @utrgv students studying at the @STXSpaceScience Institute to discuss current research, programs, and their impact on the community. The institute equips students with the skills they need to succeed in STEM-related fields. We can’t wait.”

On April 6, 2025, she attended a local business event, highlighting her support for Hidalgo County entrepreneurs at the Pharr Chamber of Commerce’s ribbon-cutting ceremony for Visionary Printing & Design: “My district staff joined the Pharr Chamber of Commerce for Visionary Printing & Design’s ribbon cutting! Pharr continues to attract small businesses, and I look forward to continuing to support the entrepreneurs in Hidalgo County.”
