A series of recent posts by Rep. Monica De La Cruz, U.S. Congresswoman representing Texas’ 15th district since 2023, highlighted local developments in law enforcement, agriculture, and small business in her region.

On August 15, 2025, De La Cruz shared news about a police operation in Guadalupe County: “A routine traffic stop in Guadalupe County led law enforcement to discover a stash of stolen clothing – worth nearly $6,000! After going unclaimed, the clothing and sports equipment were donated to Lifegate Christian School just in time for the new school year.”

Later that day, she expressed appreciation for agricultural initiatives aimed at protecting Texas farmers. In a post dated August 15, 2025, De La Cruz wrote: “Thank you, @secrollins, for announcing a new sterile fly production facility at Moore Air Base! The critical location of the facility in Hidalgo County will prevent potentially devastating outbreaks of the New World Screwworm and protect Texas Ag!”

The following day on August 16, 2025, De La Cruz attended an event supporting local entrepreneurship. She posted: “M Krowns Custom Hats is a small business committed to keeping the hat-wearing tradition alive. I was glad our team could join the ribbon cutting for their new location in Edinburg and celebrate this exciting next chapter with them. (Photo Courtesy: Edinburg Chamber of Commerce)”

De La Cruz has been active in highlighting community efforts since taking office after defeating Michelle Vallejo in both the 2022 and 2024 general elections. In those contests she secured victories with 53.3% and 57.1% of the vote respectively.
