Rep. Monica De La Cruz, who represents Texas’ 15th district in the U.S. Congress, recently highlighted local achievements and recognitions through a series of posts on her social media accounts.

On August 31, 2025, De La Cruz shared her participation in a ceremony at Guadalupe Regional Medical Center: “I recently had the honor of attending the portrait unveiling of Dr. James C. Lee at Guadalupe Regional Medical Center in Seguin. This special event not only celebrated Dr. Lee’s incredible legacy of service but also marked the launch of the Janice and James C. Lee Endowment.”

Later that same day, she recognized another community figure: “I had the privilege of presenting a Congressional Record recognizing Corporal Bill Schroeder for his dedicated service and unwavering commitment to the Guadalupe County community. His legacy will continue to inspire many, including his daughter at the Guadalupe County Sheriff’s” (August 31, 2025).

De La Cruz continued her acknowledgments on September 1, 2025, posting: “It was a pleasure to present a Congressional Record honoring Mr. Greg Seidenberger on his retirement after 12 years of dedicated service as Guadalupe County Commissioner. His commitment to improving our community and supporting those in need has made a lasting impact.”

Monica De La Cruz began representing Texas’ 15th district in Congress after replacing Vicente Gonzalez in 2023. She secured her seat by defeating Michelle Vallejo in both the 2022 and 2024 general elections with increasing margins.
