On September 9, she referenced economic measures aimed at supporting residents in her district. De La Cruz posted: “We are delivering results for hard-working Texas families! De La Cruz began serving in Congress after defeating Michelle Vallejo in both the 2022 and 2024 general elections; she won by margins of nearly ten percentage points each time and replaced Vicente Gonzalez as representative for Texas’ 15th district in January 2023.
