On September 8, De La Cruz recognized the accomplishments of students in her district, specifically mentioning the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV). She wrote: “The RGV is home to remarkable talent, including @utrgv, which is nationally ranked. It is a privilege to acknowledge the hard work, skills, and dedication of our students. Congratulations to the Chess Team for winning the Pan American Intercollegiate Chess Championship! It was an https://t.co/o2TECHLkSN”.

Later that day, she addressed ongoing healthcare discussions with local providers. In a post dated September 8 at 22:00 UTC, De La Cruz stated: “Representatives from my office sat down with @DHRhealth to discuss critical healthcare issues facing our community and explore ways we can work together to strengthen access to care for families across the region. https://t.co/CJPvrKY4mU”.

On September 9, she referenced economic measures aimed at supporting residents in her district. De La Cruz posted: “We are delivering results for hard-working Texas families! The Working Families Tax Cut will put approximately an additional $13k back in your pocket. Proud to fight to strengthen communities and ensure all families can achieve their American dream. https://t.co/24cLYhokRG”.

De La Cruz began serving in Congress after defeating Michelle Vallejo in both the 2022 and 2024 general elections; she won by margins of nearly ten percentage points each time and replaced Vicente Gonzalez as representative for Texas’ 15th district in January 2023.
