Rep. Monica De La Cruz, who has been serving in the U.S. Congress representing Texas’ 15th district since 2023, recently shared several announcements and updates through her social media account.

On February 18, 2025, Rep. De La Cruz announced that she is “Now accepting: 2025 Summer Internship Applications!” She informed prospective applicants that the deadline to apply for internships in her Washington D.C. or McAllen, Texas offices is March 7th, 2025.

On February 19, 2025, she invited young women to apply for a unique opportunity as this year’s Cherry Blossom Delegate. In her words: “Interested in representing Texas as this year’s Cherry Blossom Delegate? This is an incredible opportunity for young women to engage in educational, leadership, and cultural opportunities during DC’s Annual Cherry Blossom Festival!

Later on the same day, Rep. De La Cruz highlighted a meeting between her legislative team and Trustee David De Los Rios from South Texas College (STC). She stated: “My legislative team met with @stcjaguars Trustee David De Los Rios to discuss the opportunities that STC offers students and different federal funding programs that can further enhance their positive impact on the region.
