Rep. Monica De La Cruz, who represents Texas’ 15th congressional district in the U.S. Congress, recently highlighted local achievements and her ongoing work in the community through a series of posts on social media.
On September 7, 2025, De La Cruz wrote, “As a Congresswoman, recognizing our community members’ achievements is one of the highlights of my job. The following day, she described her office’s engagement with healthcare providers: “While in the district, my DC office met with @stxhealthsystem Edinburg and toured both their main hospital and children’s hospital to hear more about the care and services they provide to families in our community. https://t.co/UPbMcURwB6” (September 8, 2025).

De La Cruz has held her seat since defeating Michelle Vallejo in consecutive elections—first in 2022 with a margin of approximately nine percentage points and again in 2024 by an even larger margin. She assumed office after succeeding Vicente Gonzalez in January 2023.
