Rep. Monica De La Cruz, U.S. Congresswoman representing Texas’ 15th district, addressed several issues in a series of posts on her official X account between November 3 and November 4, 2025.
On November 3, De La Cruz called for public participation regarding the inclusion of the 1944 Water Treaty in the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA). She wrote: “LAST DAY TO MAKE A COMMENT! Let’s make history together by ensuring the 1944 Water Treaty is included in the USMCA. Make your voice heard here:”.
The following day, she highlighted the importance of local organizations supporting families in need. In a post dated November 4, De La Cruz stated: “Our local communities depend on organizations such as the RGV Food Bank to help families in need. Volunteers are needed to make a difference, if you’re able, consider lending a hand to support your neighbors.”
Later that same day, De La Cruz commented on ongoing government funding negotiations in the Senate. She posted: “Today, Day 35, the Senate cast its 14th vote on a clean CR, and once again, Senate Democrats stood in the way of reopening our government. Federal agencies remain shut down, vital services remain unfunded, and millions of Americans continue to feel the pain.”
De La Cruz has represented Texas’ 15th congressional district since replacing Vicente Gonzalez in 2023. She secured her seat after defeating Michelle Vallejo in both the 2022 and 2024 general elections.
