Rep. Ryan Guillen, a Republican who has represented Texas’ 31st House district since 2003, used his social media account on October 20, 2025, to address several issues including border security, early voting, and community events.
In his first post of the day, Guillen highlighted a proposed measure related to border security infrastructure: “Texans along the border are stepping up to keep our communities safe. Proposition 17 supports that effort by allowing property tax exemptions for improvements made to border security infrastructure in counties along the Texas–Mexico border. #txlege #Prop17 https://t.co/8hcUrobCx3” (October 20, 2025).
Later that afternoon, Guillen reminded constituents about the start of early voting for constitutional amendments: “Early voting starts today and runs through October 31! Make your voice heard and cast your ballot on the constitutional amendments that will shape Texas’ future. Find your polling location at https://t.co/cF8Q1QRLbC #txlege #EarlyVoting https://t.co/bbXCuIPXN2” (October 20, 2025).
In another post later that evening, he shared his attendance at a local event supporting gun rights and youth programs: “Great crowd at the first-ever Wilson County Friends of the NRA event this weekend. Always good to see folks come together to support the 2nd Amendment and youth programs in Wilson County. #txlege #hd31 https://t.co/CFSTdBeKHu” (October 20, 2025).
Guillen has served as state representative for Texas’ District 31 since succeeding Judy Hawley in 2003.
