Rep. Ryan Guillen, a Republican representing Texas’s 31st House district since 2003, posted several updates on October 16, 2025, highlighting community events and legislative priorities.

In a message attributed to his staff, Guillen’s team marked National Bosses Day with the following statement: “The staff is hijacking the account, so help us wish our bosses, Rep. Ryan Guillen and our Chief of Staff, Jonathan Wilson, a Happy National Bosses Day. We’re grateful for their leadership and everything they do. #txlege” (October 16, 2025).

Later that day, Guillen shared his support for local political engagement in Karnes County: “Glad to support the Karnes County Republican Party’s Let Freedom Ring event in Karnes City by donating a constitutional chair for the auction. Events like this show the strength and spirit of our South Texas communities. #txlege #hd31” (October 16, 2025).

Addressing election integrity issues in Texas, Guillen stated: “Texans deserve elections they can trust, with results that reflect the voices of the people. This amendment enshrines in our state’s Constitution that only U.S. citizens can cast a ballot in our state, protecting both the integrity of our democracy and the confidence of Texas” (October 16, 2025).

Guillen has served as state representative since succeeding Judy Hawley in 2003.
