Rep. Ryan Guillen, a Republican representing Texas House District 31 since 2003, shared updates on local events and statewide initiatives in a series of social media posts between October 13 and 14, 2025.
On October 13, Guillen highlighted his participation in a longstanding community tradition, stating, “Had a fantastic time over the weekend participating in the Floresville Peanut Festival parade! As the peanut capital of Texas, Floresville puts on a great celebration that brings the whole community together. Proud to be a part of this special tradition! #hd31 #txlege”.
Turning to public health issues, Guillen addressed support for Texans affected by neurological diseases. On October 14, he posted, “Texans facing Alzheimer’s, Dementia, and Parkinson’s deserve more than waiting for answers. Proposition 14 invests in research, prevention, and treatment so families can look forward to real progress and better care. #txlege #Prop14 #6DaysTilEarlyVoting”.
Later the same day, Guillen promoted an education initiative aimed at increasing college accessibility, writing, “This week, Texans can apply to any public college or university for free through https://t.co/cYEhGCYkq9. Free College Application Week, created through Senate Bill 2231, helps remove financial barriers so more students can access higher education opportunities across our state.”
Guillen has represented Texas House District 31 since 2003, succeeding Judy Hawley. He has been involved in legislative efforts supporting education and health initiatives in Texas.
