Rep. Ryan Guillen, a Republican representing Texas’ 31st House district since 2003, recently highlighted the work of his legislative intern and marked significant events in a series of posts on social media.
On August 6, 2025, Guillen introduced one of his summer interns to the public, stating: “Meet Michael Bennett, one of our legislative interns working in the office this summer. He is from Houston, Texas, and is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Government and in Economics with a minor in History at UT Austin. Guillen has served in the Texas State House since succeeding Judy Hawley in 2003. As a member of the Republican Party representing District 31, he regularly uses social media platforms to inform constituents about local events and recognize community members.
