Rep. Ryan Guillen, a Republican serving Texas’s 31st House district since 2003, recently used his social media platform to highlight individuals and initiatives in his district, as well as support legislative measures.

On September 3, 2025, Guillen introduced one of his office’s summer interns by posting: “Meet Victoria Rodriguez, one of our political marketing interns working in the office this summer. She is originally from McAllen, Texas, and is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Government at UT Austin. After graduation, she hopes to pursue a law degree and become a judge. #txlege https://t.co/0nCh2QJa19”

Two days later, on September 5, he turned attention to a local landmark with another post: “This #FeatureFriday, we’re highlighting the famous Freer Rattlesnake in Duval County. Standing over 14 feet long, this roadside attraction celebrates the town’s annual Rattlesnake Roundup and showcases the bold spirit of South Texas. #HD31 #txlege https://t.co/cHKMCWXb4D”

Later that same day, Guillen expressed support for new safety legislation: “Proud to support SB 1, honoring the lives of Heaven’s 27 by strengthening campground and youth camp safety. This bill ensures higher standards and safer spaces for Texas children and families. #txlege #89th #SafetyFirst https://t.co/C8HhGO8frf”

Guillen has represented Texas’s 31st House district since being elected in 2003 following Judy Hawley’s tenure.
