Rep. Ryan Guillen, a Republican member of the Texas State House representing District 31 since 2003, recently shared updates on his official Twitter account about local community engagement and law enforcement activities.
On September 29, 2025, Guillen introduced one of his office’s legislative interns in a tweet: “Meet Maddie Matejka, one of our legislative interns working in the office this fall. She is originally from Fort Worth, Texas, and is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Finance from UT Austin. After graduation, she hopes to attend law school. #txlege https://t.co/rqCn10ynLQ”
Later that day, he highlighted his involvement with a local civic event: “Honored to contribute to the Karnes City Rotary Club’s Lonesome Dove Fest with the donation of a Texas flag that flew over our state capitol and a constitutional chair for the auction. The funds raised go toward scholarships, making this event a true celebration of community https://t.co/oAJtO9Gld8” (September 29, 2025).
Guillen also commended law enforcement efforts in South Texas. In a tweet posted on September 29, 2025, he wrote: “Grateful to the Wilson County Sheriff’s Office and DPS for showing once again the kind of tough, skilled law enforcement we have in South Texas. Their quick action in Stockdale brought down a dangerous murder suspect connected to an Eagle Pass shooting and kept our communities https://t.co/fEvvmmhzof”
Guillen has served in the Texas State House since 2003, succeeding Judy Hawley as representative for District 31.
