VALLEY VIEW EARLY COLLEGE CAMPUS: Mariachi Advances to STATE TAME Contest in 2020

View

Valley View Early College Campus issued the following announcement.

A huge CONGRATULATIONS goes out to our Mighty Valley View High School and ECC Mariachi "Sol De Oro" students and staff for their accomplishments at this past weekend's Texas Association of Mariachi Educators mariachi competition.

We are extremely proud to announce that both the Varsity and Junior Varsity Mariachis will be advancing to the TAME State Competition that will be held in Seguin, TX on February 8, 2020.

The Valley View ISD Mariachi program would like to thank all the teachers, and administration for supporting the Mariachi students. This is the 6th time in a row that the high school mariachi advances to the State Contest.

TAME has just added the Junior Varsity category as an advancing category and our JV Mariachi will be the first to advance this year. A big 'thank you' goes out to our mariachi staff (Juan Lopez, Anhalie Farias, and Jose "Tony" Garcia) for always making the betterment of our students a priority and investing countless hours into this activity resulting in excellence. Once again, congratulations, and GO TIGERS!
