City of Edinburg issued the following announcement.
The City of Edinburg continues to work and monitor the county for any Coronavirus (COVID-19) cases throughout our city. We continue to ask residents to practice proper hygiene and social distance in order to adequately prepare for the illness to hit our county.
Remember that if you believe you have been exposed or are demonstrating fever, cough or shortness of breath, get medical attention immediately! Do not wait!
We also want to announce that The City of Edinburg understands that our residents are facing hardships, especially with any individuals who might be asked to stay at home. This is why the City of Edinburg has made the decision of not disconnecting water service due to nonpayment. We are in this together and we will get through it!
