South Texas College enrolls 31,949 undergrads

At South Texas College, 91 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 57 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in McAllen enrolled 31,949 students in fall 2018, all in undergraduate programs, data shows. 2.3 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

100 percent of undergraduates are residents of Texas.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as Hispanic or Latino (95 percent) and white (2 percent).
