Cost of college was unchanged for all students at the South Texas Vocational Technical Institute-Weslaco

Tuition and fees were unchanged for 2018-19 at the South Texas Vocational Technical Institute-Weslaco, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Texas students paid $18,360 to attend the private for-profit school in both the 2017-18 and 2018-19 academic years.

Data shows 94 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 190 students received grants or scholarships totaling $855,643 and 159 students took out student loans totaling more than $1.3 million.

Including all undergraduates (683), 613 students used grants or scholarships totaling $2.5 million, and 534 students took out $3.1 million in federal student loans.
