On Wednesday, February 28, three former Robert Vela High School standouts, including Isaac Lopez, Nico Rodriguez and Rudy Gonzalez’s current college team, the UTRGV Vaqueros, lost 2-1 in their NCAA Division I game against the Texas A&M Corpus Christi Islanders.

The game took place in Edinburg, Texas. This was their first matchup against the Texas A&M Corpus Christi Islanders this season.

The Vaqueros’ next game is scheduled for Friday, March 1 at 6:35 p.m. in Edinburg, Texas against Austin Peay Governors.
