Enrollment at Triumph Public High Schools-Rio Grande Valley increased by 4.3% compared to previous school year

There were 506 students enrolled in Triumph Public High Schools-Rio Grande Valley in the 2022-23 school year, 4.3% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 51% of them were girls, and 49% were boys.

Data also shows that the majority of students were Hispanic, representing 99% of the Triumph Public High Schools-Rio Grande Valley total enrollment.

Triumph Public High Schools-Rio Grande Valley roughly covers schools within Hidalgo County with its main office in Mcallen.

Among the four schools in Triumph Public High Schools-Rio Grande Valley, Triumph Public High Schools-McAllen recorded the highest enrollment of 140 students in the 2022-23 school year.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
