There were five white students enrolled in Triumph Public High Schools-Rio Grande Valley District in the 2022-23 school year, 28.6% less than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that Triumph Public High Schools-Rio Grande Valley District welcomed 506 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, white students comprised 1% of the student body to be the least represented ethnicity in the district.

Among the four schools in Triumph Public High Schools-Rio Grande Valley District, Triumph Public High Schools-McAllen recorded the highest enrollment of white students in the 2022-23 school year, with a total of two students.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
