On February 8, 2025, Rep. De La Cruz acknowledged the service of Sheriff Busby from Live Oak County as the longest-serving sheriff in Texas. She expressed her appreciation for his commitment to the community by stating, "It was an honor to recognize the longest-serving sheriff in Texas, Sheriff Busby from Live Oak County. This achievement reflects his hard work, dedication, and leadership. Congratulations, and thank you for your service to our community!"

The following day, February 9, 2025, she reported a meeting between her legislative team and members of the National Federation of the Blind of Texas. The discussions focused on legislative priorities and promoting equal opportunities for Texans.
