Rep. Monica De La Cruz, a serving member of the U.S. Congress from Texas' 15th district since 2023, recently shared her thoughts and activities through social media posts. These tweets cover a range of topics, reflecting her involvement in both personal reflection and professional duties.

On April 13, Rep. De La Cruz highlighted a religious observance, noting the significance of Palm Sunday. She stated "On this Palm Sunday, we remember Christ’s entry into Jerusalem and the beginning of Holy Week. May today bring peace, reflection, and hope. God bless."

The following day, April 14, she announced an achievement for local agriculture. Her post read "Attention South Texas Farmers and Producers! I am excited to announce that the critical aid I secured is now available to assist farmers and producers. This funding will provide essential economic relief to RGV farmers and producers affected by Mexico’s failure to meet its." This funding is intended to support farmers and producers in the Rio Grande Valley.

Also on April 14, Rep. De La Cruz reported a collaborative meeting involving her legislative staff, Melina Recio, a high school English teacher from McAllen Independent School District (ISD), and Teach Plus. She conveyed, "Our legislative staff met with @McAllenISD High School English teacher Melina Recio and Teach Plus to discuss ways to improve education in the RGV and other legislative priorities." This dialogue aims to enhance educational prospects in the region.

Monica De La Cruz is a native Texan born in Brownsville, now residing in McAllen. She holds a Bachelor of Business Studies (BBS) degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio.
