On July 13, 2025, Rep. De La Cruz reported on her team’s participation at a local event: “At the recent McAllen Mayor’s Prayer Luncheon, my team had the opportunity to visit with Evelyn Cano, President of the Disability Chamber of Commerce. I’m proud to support leaders who are making a difference in our community.”
