Enrollment Analysis: Pacific Islander students comprised 0% of Edinburg CISD schools' student body in 2022-23 school year

There were three Pacific Islander students enrolled in Edinburg CISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, 40% less than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that Edinburg CISD schools welcomed 33,911 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, Pacific Islander students comprised 0% of the student body to be one of the least represented ethnicities in the district.

Edinburg CISD roughly covers schools within Hidalgo County and has a main office in Edinburg.

Among the 43 schools in Edinburg CISD schools, Truman Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of Pacific Islander students in the 2022-23 school year, with a total of one student.

Texas is found to be one of the least-educated states in the U.S. A study from WalletHub ranked Texas 41st out of 50 states in terms of the quality of the educational system and how successful students were.

More than 5.4 million students are enrolled in public schools across Texas. Nearly one million of them live in rural areas where options for local public schools are few and far between.
