How many multiracial students were enrolled in Pharr-San Juan-Alamo ISD schools in 2022-23 school year?

There were two multiracial students enrolled in Pharr-San Juan-Alamo ISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, 33.3% less than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that Pharr-San Juan-Alamo ISD schools welcomed 30,003 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, multiracial students comprised 0% of the student body to be one of the least represented ethnicities in the district.

Pharr-San Juan-Alamo ISD roughly covers schools within Hidalgo County and has a main office in Pharr.

Among the 43 schools in Pharr-San Juan-Alamo ISD schools, Psja Memorial Early College High School recorded the highest enrollment of multiracial students in the 2022-23 school year, with a total of one student.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
