On February 1st, Rep. De La Cruz marked National Freedom Day by reflecting on the significance of the day in American history. She stated, "National Freedom Day commemorates the signing of the 13th Amendment, which abolished slavery. On February 1st, we celebrate the freedoms that come with being an American and should never take them for granted."

Later that day, she welcomed home a returned hostage named Keith while emphasizing her commitment to ensuring the safe return of hostages from abroad. She expressed her determination by stating: "Welcome home, Keith! We will not stop until every American & Israeli hostage has returned home safely."

In another post on February 1st, Rep. De La Cruz announced her participation in an upcoming event aimed at fostering unity through prayer. She wrote about attending the National Prayer Breakfast alongside Dr. Milton Louis Gonzalez: "I look forward to attending the National Prayer Breakfast with my distinguished guest, Dr. Milton Louis Gonzalez, the CEO of the Covenant Christian Academy in South Texas. This event unites us in prayer for our nation, President, and future."
