Rep. Monica De La Cruz, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Texas’ 15th district, has been vocal on social media about her stance on various national issues. De La Cruz succeeded Vicente Gonzalez in 2023 and has since been active in legislative matters.
On March 5, 2025, Rep. De La Cruz expressed her agreement with President Trump regarding tax policies. She stated, "Agreed, Mr. President. American families can’t afford a 22% tax hike. I will continue to work to extend Trump’s tax cuts to American families and small businesses."
In another tweet posted shortly after, she emphasized the importance of food security as part of national security measures and thanked former President Trump for his support of American farmers: "Food security is national security. Thank you, President Trump, for your work to support American farmers."
Later that day, De La Cruz highlighted a tragic incident involving two young women murdered by criminal illegal immigrants during Biden's administration. She noted the legislative action taken by President Trump to prevent such occurrences: "Laken Riley and Jocelyn Nungaray were young women murdered by criminal illegal immigrants allowed to remain in our country under Biden... The first bill President Trump signed into law was to make sure what happened to Laken and Jocelyn never happens again."
