CITY OF MISSION: Mission asking residents to fill out flood damage assessment forms

Forms

City of Mission issued the following announcement.

The City of Mission is being proactive and working to speed along the response and recovery process from Hurricane Hanna. One of the first steps is to get a comprehensive damage assessment at the local level and city leaders are asking residents to help. Property owners that were impacted by heavy wind and the deluge of rain, are being asked to complete flood damage assessment forms.

In order to provide a clear picture of the devastation in the community, it is critical that every single residential, business and non-profit property sustaining flood damage complete the form. It is fast and easy. Citizens simply need to click on the flood assessment icon on the City of Mission website to report storm, wind or flood damage, as well as water intrusion of any degree.

This is a critical first step to help the City of Mission meet the State of Texas threshold for assistance. FEMA will not be able to assist the region until this initial assessment is complete. The damage assessment form is for City of Mission residents only.
