McAllen airport celebrates milestone as Rep. Monica De La Cruz secures funding

Rep. Monica De La Cruz, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Texas' 15th district since 2023, shared updates on various local achievements and events through her social media platform on November 21, 2024.

In a post from early morning, Rep. De La Cruz celebrated McAllen International Airport's milestone of welcoming its millionth flyer in 2024. She stated, "What an achievement! Congratulations to McAllen International Airport for welcoming its millionth flyer of 2024. This milestone is a testament to MFEs' impressive growth, which will continue with the $7.4 million I recently secured for terminal improvements."

Later that day, she congratulated Burnt Bean Co., located in Seguin, for being recognized in the first Texas Michelin Guide. She noted the significance of this recognition by stating, "Today, I congratulated Burnt Bean Co. of Seguin for earning recognition in the first Texas Michelin Guide. This prestigious guide highlights the top 45 establishments across Texas."

In another tweet posted on the same day during Texas Agriculture Memorial Day, Rep. De La Cruz paid tribute to those involved in agriculture who have been injured or lost their lives while working. She emphasized the importance of safety and education within this sector by writing, "Today, on Texas Agriculture Memorial Day, we honor those who dedicated themselves to agriculture and remember those who lost their lives or were injured while on the job."
