CITY OF MISSION: Mission hosts census drive thru events

City of Mission issued the following announcement.

The City of Mission has worked hard over the past several months towards increasing participation in the 2020 Census. As part of its continued outreach efforts to encourage residents to fill out the census, the City of Mission will host four sign up events where citizens can earn a $100 gift certificate to participating restaurants if they sign up for the census on site.

Mission residents who attend one of these events and fill out their 2020 Census form will receive a $100 gift certificate to participating restaurants while supplies last. It is also an opportunity to help local restaurants rebound from the pandemic.

If citizens have already filled out their census, they can bring ONE friend to complete theirs and they will both walk away with the $100 gift certificate packet. Census takers will be on site to help patrons. All events will be drive thru and facial coverings are required.

With the Census 2020 deadline cut short to September 30, 2020, the City of Mission is making every effort to ensure that everyone in Mission is counted. Every slice counts!
