How many Hispanic students were enrolled in San Isidro ISD schools in 2021-22 school year?

There were 186 Hispanic students enrolled in San Isidro ISD schools in the 2021-22 school year, 5.6% less than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that San Isidro ISD schools welcomed 191 students during the 2021-22 school year. Among them, Hispanic students comprised 97.4% of the student body to be the most represented ethnicity in the district.

San Isidro ISD roughly covers schools within Starr County and has a main office in San Isidro.

Among the two schools in San Isidro ISD schools, San Isidro Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of Hispanic students in the 2021-22 school year, with a total of 117 students.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
