Rep. Monica De La Cruz, representing Texas' 15th district in the U.S. Congress, has been actively engaging with constituents and stakeholders on various issues through her social media platform. Her recent tweets address significant topics ranging from international treaties to local agricultural crises and opportunities for civic engagement.

On December 10, 2024, Rep. De La Cruz shared that her legislative director met with Dale Murden, President of Texas Citrus Mutual. They discussed the "1944 Water Treaty" and explored strategies to hold Mexico accountable under the new administration and Congress. "My legislative director recently met with @DaleMurden, the President of @TxCitrusMutual."

The following day, December 11, she highlighted a crisis affecting South Texas farmers due to Mexico's non-compliance with its water obligations under the same treaty. This situation has significantly impacted the agricultural sector, leading to job losses at Rio Grande Valley Sugar Growers and reduced crop yields by 40%. "South Texas farmers are in crisis due to Mexico's failure to meet its water obligations under the 1944 Water Treaty."

Additionally, on December 11, Rep. De La Cruz announced an opportunity for TX-15 constituents to attend the upcoming Presidential Inauguration on January 20th, 2025. Tickets will be allocated through a lottery system until December 16th. "We are excited to offer TX-15 Constituents the opportunity to attend the 60th Presidential Inauguration on January 20th, 2025."
