Rep. Monica De La Cruz, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Texas’ 15th district, has recently shared updates on her legislative activities and community engagements through a series of tweets. De La Cruz, who succeeded Vicente Gonzalez in 2023, continues to focus on initiatives that honor public service and improve healthcare communication.

On March 13, 2025, Rep. De La Cruz announced the reintroduction of the Agent Raul Gonzalez Jr. Memorial Post Office Bill to honor a Border Patrol agent's contributions. She stated: "I am proud to reintroduce the Agent Raul Gonzalez Jr. Memorial Post Office Bill to honor the life and service of RGV Sector Border Patrol Agent Gonzalez. The post office will serve as a reminder of his selflessness and heroism in protecting our communities."

On March 14, 2025, she highlighted her bipartisan efforts with the SPEAK Act aimed at improving healthcare communication for patients with limited English proficiency. According to her tweet: "My bipartisan SPEAK Act ensures all patients have access to health information, empowers informed decisions, and promotes better communication with healthcare providers to address the barriers of those with limited English proficiency."

Later that day, Rep. De La Cruz expressed gratitude towards local food banks for their collaboration on nutrition assistance programs: "Thank you to the @foodbankrgv and the @safoodbank for visiting the office and discussing the importance of food nutrition assistance programs."
