Rep. Monica De La Cruz outlines plans for energy dominance and local collaboration

Rep. Monica De La Cruz, who has been serving in the U.S. Congress representing Texas' 15th district since 2023, shared several updates on her recent activities and collaborations via social media on January 31, 2025.

In one of her posts, Rep. De La Cruz expressed enthusiasm about collaborating with Interior Secretary Doug Burgum to enhance American energy independence. She stated, "Looking forward to working with Interior Sec. @DougBurgum to restore American energy dominance!" The post was made on January 31, 2025.

Later that day, she highlighted a meeting between her district staff and Guadalupe County Commissioner Jacqueline Ott. The discussion focused on infrastructure improvements and other key areas for community development. Rep. De La Cruz mentioned, "My district staff recently met with Guadalupe County Commissioner Pct. 1 Jacqueline Ott to discuss infrastructure improvements, fiscal responsibility, education, and public safety." In another engagement reported by Rep. De La Cruz's team was their attendance at the Pharr Chamber of Commerce's first PAL Ambassador Meeting of the year. The event provided an opportunity to explore new ideas for growth and community involvement in Pharr. As she noted in her tweet from January 31, 2025: "My district staff attended @PharrTx Chamber of Commerce's first PAL Ambassador Meeting of 2025! It was an excellent opportunity to hear the Ambassador’s new ideas for growth, development, and community involvement for the upcoming year."
