U.S. Congresswoman Monica De La Cruz, representing Texas' 15th District, has expressed concerns about issues affecting her constituents through a series of tweets. Elected in 2023, she has been vocal on problems pertaining to water treaties, disaster relief, and healthcare access in rural areas.

In a tweet on April 3, 2025, De La Cruz reported on a meeting with Dr. Maria Elena Giner, Commissioner of the United States International Boundary and Water Commission. The meeting focused on the ongoing challenges related to Mexico's noncompliance with the 1944 Water Treaty. De La Cruz noted, "South Texas farmers, families, and communities are feeling the impact of this water shortage every day."

On the same day, De La Cruz informed those affected by recent flooding about a Flood Relief Distribution organized by the Food Bank RGV. Scheduled for April 4 at Payne Arena, the distribution aims to provide aid to flood victims. She tweeted, "For those affected by last week’s flooding, @FoodBankRGV will hold a Flood Relief Distribution tomorrow April 4 at Payne Arena."

The following day, April 4, De La Cruz shared insights on her meeting with Don McBeath from Torch Net. The conversation centered on improving healthcare access in rural areas and the SPEAK Act, a piece of legislation she recently introduced. De La Cruz emphasized, "My staff had a great meeting with Don McBeath from @torchnet. They discussed the importance of improving healthcare access in rural areas and walked through the SPEAK Act—legislation I recently introduced to ensure patients have a voice when it comes to their care."
